Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety is an upcoming Indian romantic-comedy film directed by Indra Kumar. The film features Ileana D'Cruz and Kunal Kapoor in lead roles. This movie is the remake of the Telugu movie, Sonu, which was released in 2016.
Plot
Rohit Trivedi (Kunal Kapoor) and Sonu Sharma (Ileana D'Cruz) are childhood friends. But their friendship ends after they grow up, and Sonu does not care about the friends who come after her. Sonu and Rohit get married. On their wedding night, Sonu reveals that she does not love Rohit and she only married him for family and societal pressure.
Meanwhile, Sonu has her own friends. She is close to her parents, Manju and Vikram. Manju is Sonu's grandfather, and Vikram is Manju's first husband and Sonu's father. Manju is a very strict parent. She drives Sonu, a busy college student, to meetings every now and then.
Sonu also has a close friendship with Aisha (Kalki Koechlin), who is a college mate of Sonu's. Sonu is a girl who loves her friends, and her relationship with her friend circle is as important as her relationship with her husband.
Sonu and Rohit have a son named Aryan (Ashish Choudhary). The first few months of Aryan's life, Sonu takes care of him, as Rohit is busy with work. Sonu does not want her husband to know that she has a child, so she plans to give Aryan to someone else. She uses her father's friend, Santosh Dixit (Konkona Sen Sharma), to provide an alibi.
Sonu gets to know that Aryan is in fact her own son, and it is also revealed that Aryan is not hers. She tells Rohit that Aryan is his. As Rohit does not know about Aryan, Sonu tricks him and tells him that she is the mother of Aryan.
Meanwhile, Manju finds out that her family is missing a boy named Aryan, who is the son of the house. Manju thinks that Aryan is not her son. She takes her son, Aryan, to be the son of 01e38acffe
